To boost your mood instead of reaching for a morning coffee have a hot water and Lemon instead it will get you off to a great start.

Lemons are packed with Vitamin C and are great for boosting your immune system.

They also contain Vitamin B6, iron, thiamin, potassium, pantothenic acid, fiber, calcium, magnesium, copper, riboflavin and folate.

If you want to get the most out of Lemons pop them in the freezer and once frozen grate the entire Lemon without peeling it.  By using the entire Lemon you will get approximately 10 times more vitamins than the Lemon juice on its own.  You can then add the grated Lemon on any dish or juice you wish.

Lemons contain oil called limonene, which according to the Journal of Nutrition protects cells from damage that may lead to Cancer. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2004/11/041130203424.htm

Although Lemons are acidic once they are digested they help to reduce the acidity in the body, thereby correcting the pH of the blood, reduces inflammation by drawing uric acid from joints, which helps anyone suffering from gout.

Lemons are also awesome at breaking down calcification.

Lemons are a wonderful detox and skin cleanser as they help the liver produce bile.

How to pick a good Lemon:-

  • Lemons have more juice if they are heavier and have a thinner skin.
  • Pick a ripe Lemon as they have more antioxidant.

So there you have it, for an amazing boost to your health and well being go and stock up on a load of Lemons.
